Pregnancy and infant loss awareness month is a chance to bring this topic to the forefront, support each other and show that we are not alone in this matter. It’s a topic most people want to avoid and would rather you quickly get over and shove under the rug. Let’s shake that rug out, beat the dust of shame and awkwardness out of it, and put it into the sun to bring us light and healing. Continue reading “Pregnancy Loss Awareness (My Story)” »
We’re a couple weeks into the school year and getting back into a new routine. This years a little different for us since both my kiddos need to be dressed and out the door first thing in the morning. Last year, if need be, I could take my daughter, Mahlia, in her Jammie’s for Paxton’s drop off. But this year…both kids need to be dressed, fed, teeth brushed, bags packed and out the door. What are some routine hacks that help you? No, seriously, I’m not asking to be polite, we could use all the help we can get! Continue reading “Your Best Foot Forward” »
I have taken a break and have not been writing as much. Since I’m new to the blogging world, I am trying to figure out a good balance between being a Mom, managing our household, volunteering, doing projects and finding time to write. Continue reading “What’s Been Going On!” »
Our favorite vacation was definitely our Disney land and sea excursion we took last spring. We always knew we wanted to take the kids to Disney but when Brent suggested we try a Disney cruise and parks, I thought, “Is that allowed”! It seemed like a dream come true! But that’s the thing with Disney, the right travel agent and an awesome husband…they do make dreams come true! Continue reading “Disney Land and Sea Vacation Part 1” »
Who else is excited that we made it through winter and spring is finally here? I felt like winter went by super fast and yet I have had cabin fever and I am so ready to put these winters blues in the past!
I am motivated to start working on my spring cleaning! My goal is to spring clean in 3 different areas: Continue reading “Spring Cleaning” »
I noticed it when Mahlia was two. We were shopping at a store and she was singing her favorite song by the Beetles, “Here Comes the Sun”. As we were leaving the store I saw it…the light…the blessing. Mahlia is constantly singing wherever she is, especially at home, and I hate to admit it, but I became immune to it. But on this day I saw what was actually going on, and I will never forget this day. Continue reading “Be the Light” »
It’s a Saturday night and I’m sitting across from my husband, Brent, on date night at one of our favorite restaurants we haven’t been to in ages. The lights are dim, we’re enjoying the basket of bread and an adult beverage when I look at him and ask “Can I say something honestly?” I see the look of concern on his face as he responds, “How honest?” I feel like it’s something I shouldn’t say out loud but here it goes… Continue reading “Date Night” »
Whether you are working full-time or part-time or you’re a Stay-at-home mom (SAHM), they all can have very different challenges of their own. I know, because I have experienced all three.
Here is what I learned as a SAHM: Continue reading “6 Things I have learned as a SAHM” »
These books are currently sitting at home for me to read thanks to my awesome Sister-in-law and Mom!
About a year ago I rediscovered that I like to read! Once we had babies, if I had any time to read, it was typically in the middle of the night while I was pumping or nursing and it was usually the Baby 411 book to learn why my baby hiccupped or how to actually sleep through the night. Now that they are more self-sufficient I find it easier to sit and enjoy a good book! Continue reading “Books To Read” »
As a Mom you have routines, make plans and have an idea of how your day will go. And you also know, all of this can go out the window in an instant. Usually at the most inconvenient time when you have someplace important to be or just something fun to do.
When I went to bed last night my plans in my head went something like this. Continue reading “Plans Are For Fools” »
