Pregnancy and infant loss awareness month is a chance to bring this topic to the forefront, support each other and show that we are not alone in this matter. It’s a topic most people want to avoid and would rather you quickly get over and shove under the rug. Let’s shake that rug out, beat the dust of shame and awkwardness out of it, and put it into the sun to bring us light and healing. Continue reading “Pregnancy Loss Awareness (My Story)” »
Your Best Foot Forward
We’re a couple weeks into the school year and getting back into a new routine. This years a little different for us since both my kiddos need to be dressed and out the door first thing in the morning. Last year, if need be, I could take my daughter, Mahlia, in her Jammie’s for Paxton’s drop off. But this year…both kids need to be dressed, fed, teeth brushed, bags packed and out the door. What are some routine hacks that help you? No, seriously, I’m not asking to be polite, we could use all the help we can get! Continue reading “Your Best Foot Forward” »
Opportunity
I have been dreading this day all summer…the day both my kids would both go back to school full-time. I tend to over think sometimes, ok, a lot of times. I worried about what I would do with myself when both kids were in school. Did I do enough with the kids this summer? What if I never get this opportunity again to spend summers with my kids? Thyme For Fun!
I knew I wanted herb plants to put in my kitchenette but I didn’t know exactly how I wanted to do this. I looked through Pinterest to get some ideas, but ultimately you need to work with the supplies in hand. So one day shopping at Walmart with Mahlia, we briefly looked at their garden center and I found the cutest pots! I knew with some stencils and a sharpie I could create it exactly how I imagined it! DIY Dining Table Makeover
Seven years ago Brent’s sister and her family were moving back to St. Louis (Boo). So we were able to buy their dining room table from them (Yay). We had a glass top table at the time with stone pillars that I loved but it was not kid friendly, it wasn’t adult-friendly as I had hurt myself on this table many times before. Since Paxton was only months old, their table was a perfect addition to our home. Continue reading “DIY Dining Table Makeover” »
Grand Cayman Island
Family vacation 2017 consisted of the beautiful Grand Cayman Island with Grandparents and cousins! Two of the couples have previously vacationed this beautiful oasis, but this was our first visit. We quickly learned the lure of the island and why so many keep going back! Continue reading “Grand Cayman Island” »
“The Progeny” by Tosca Lee
Memory loss has been the theme of the books I’ve read recently. I am currently reading “Remembering Mia” where a mother wakes from a coma and has no recollection of how she got their or what’s happened to her daughter. This was one of my dollar finds from Dollar General. Who knew they carried books! Continue reading ““The Progeny” by Tosca Lee” »

What’s Been Going On!
I have taken a break and have not been writing as much. Since I’m new to the blogging world, I am trying to figure out a good balance between being a Mom, managing our household, volunteering, doing projects and finding time to write. Continue reading “What’s Been Going On!” »
Disney Land and Sea Vacation Part 1
Our favorite vacation was definitely our Disney land and sea excursion we took last spring. We always knew we wanted to take the kids to Disney but when Brent suggested we try a Disney cruise and parks, I thought, “Is that allowed”! It seemed like a dream come true! But that’s the thing with Disney, the right travel agent and an awesome husband…they do make dreams come true! Continue reading “Disney Land and Sea Vacation Part 1” »
